My sis-in-law liked the pink ruffle cake so much she decided she wanted to make one for her boss' birthday. So I helped her decorate it. It looked scrumptious!

Pleating Heart

Happy Valentine's Day! I loved the ruffled look from my last cake, so I decided to use the ruffles again but this time added pleats.

Sweet Vanilla Flower

I tried a couple of new recipes

swiss meringue buttercream... very smooth & silky from scratch vanilla cake, I adapted a recipe found in the cake boss' new book It was delicious!
I recommend this book for beginning decorators as well as the seasoned.

German Chocolate Cupcakes

I thought I would try to make a cupcake out of the classic German Chocolate Cake.

White chocolate clay

I found a recipe for chocolate clay online ( 10oz chocolate to 1/4 C corn syrup melted together). I tried it and I love it. I worked with it on a marble slab and it held up beautifully!

It tastes sooooo much better than most fondants and looks just as fabulous.
