time for pie

I love homemade pies, especially fresh fruit pies! This one just melted in your mouth...mmmm.

My first attempt at canning peaches, I had a rough start but they turned out great :)

White chocolate ganache spider web cupcakes, delish! The kids were loving this for halloween, we took them to the party at our church and they were gone before I knew it.
Whoopie pies! I used to love going to Kinsingers Kitchen when I was little and getting their ginormous whoopie pies.

Roses are Red

I was asked to make a bouquet for bridal pics because the florist was unavailable the day of the photo shoot, it was pretty fun. The bride requested the jewels in the bouquet, I thought they were pretty cute in it :)

Barbie Princess

My little girl just turned 6 and decided she wanted to have a barbie princess party. I made the cupcakes simple: confetti cake, vanilla frosting and candy melt crown molds. We did our nails, make-up, made hair accessories and drank out of fancy glasses. The girls had so much fun.

Happy Birthday Savannah!!!!

Rapunzel

My daughter Caroline is pretty infatuated with Tangled lately and wanted a Rapunzel cake. I got this idea from my sisters friend, thanks gina! I took an actual rapunzel barbie and wrapped her in plastic wrap and stuck down into the princess cake form with an 8 inch cake on the bottom to make it taller. Caroline loved it!!!!

Springtime Blues

I realized the last few things I made were all about the same shade of blue. This is fitting considering its almost the end of April, still chilly and occassionally still snowing!!!! Give me some warm weather and a whole lot of sunshine!

Happy Easter. These were made in muffin tins, topped with green coconut & jelly beans and finished off with a piece of pull-n-peel twizzler.

Ok, so I got bored one day. I had been trying to figure out how to bring the concept of a dress form into cake and I finally figured it out. Two large cupcakes, 4in & 6in cake pans and a dowel down the middle. This is obviously a very rough try on this idea but it still turned out pretty cute. I made it really fast, now that I know how to make the base for it, I will definitely take my time and make it a lot more professional looking on the next one.

Yesterday was my birthday. It was wonderful thank you, I do recommend you all seeing the new movie HOP, very cute! I unfortunately had to go to school last night and decided to be cheesy and make cupcakes to take. You have to understand though, we were watching a movie, having our final review, and were told to bring treats/snacks .They were well recieved!

Elle's 2nd 3rd Birthday cake!

A second birthday cake for Elle, this one was for her big party at the Aquarium. Next to the cake I have the invitation that I imitated. The cake is rainbow chip a favorite of many ;) Then it was covered in white chocolate mousse and decorated with fondant and buttercream frosting. The mousse began to get soft as I decorated the edges, but it turned out great and delicious.

Not to mention the colors of the cake matched little Elle's party dress.

The party was fabulous, thanks again Lisa!

Nate & Virginia

Thank you Virginia for sending me these pics!

It's been a while coming because life gets busy,

but here is my favorite wedding cake of the year

and in the top 2 out of all of them.

The top layer is chocolate and the bottom two layers are fake.

Nate & Virginia (Not like the state, she's from Brazil)
They were married back in May of 2010, and I had the great pleasure of making thier cake.
Love the colors!!!

It really has been one of my favorites.

Thanks for asking me to help!

Elle

Sweet Elle's 3rd Birthday. The design came from her cute invitations.

The cake was pink strawberry with white buttercream, I know the color is a little off.

Maybe I'll get a new camera this year!

Happy 60th Anniversary!

My husband's grandparents celebrated 60 wonderful years of marriage this past Thanksgiving weekend. I had the great opportunity of recreating their wedding cake. They even cut and fed it to each other like on their wedding day :)
Very 1950's

The picture on the left is of them on their wedding day.
Happy Anniversary Grandma & Grandpa, can't wait to make the 70th!
