Elle's 2nd 3rd Birthday cake!

A second birthday cake for Elle, this one was for her big party at the Aquarium. Next to the cake I have the invitation that I imitated. The cake is rainbow chip a favorite of many ;) Then it was covered in white chocolate mousse and decorated with fondant and buttercream frosting. The mousse began to get soft as I decorated the edges, but it turned out great and delicious.

Not to mention the colors of the cake matched little Elle's party dress.

The party was fabulous, thanks again Lisa!

Nate & Virginia

Thank you Virginia for sending me these pics!

It's been a while coming because life gets busy,

but here is my favorite wedding cake of the year

and in the top 2 out of all of them.

The top layer is chocolate and the bottom two layers are fake.

Nate & Virginia (Not like the state, she's from Brazil)
They were married back in May of 2010, and I had the great pleasure of making thier cake.
Love the colors!!!

It really has been one of my favorites.

Thanks for asking me to help!

Elle

Sweet Elle's 3rd Birthday. The design came from her cute invitations.

The cake was pink strawberry with white buttercream, I know the color is a little off.

Maybe I'll get a new camera this year!

Happy 60th Anniversary!

My husband's grandparents celebrated 60 wonderful years of marriage this past Thanksgiving weekend. I had the great opportunity of recreating their wedding cake. They even cut and fed it to each other like on their wedding day :)
Very 1950's

The picture on the left is of them on their wedding day.
Happy Anniversary Grandma & Grandpa, can't wait to make the 70th!

Diaper cake

The first time I heard about a diaper cake, I thought it was a real cake... I was then corrected that it really was diapers shaped into a cake. I thought I would try my hand at making one for my cousins baby shower, and it turned out cute! Since I don't have any pictures on my camera here's the link to her blog with a picture of it.

Elder Hegland

A Trailer.
A Deer.

Dead possum, and the culprit.

Squirrel.

Spencer's cousin just got home from his West Virginia mission. His mom asked me to make his birthday cake with a little touch of backwoods to it.

All the animals are made of fondant and painted with food paste.

Welcome home Garret!

Castle Cake

The ultimate fairy tale castle cake for my sweet little Savannah. I found some cute ideas online and created this cute cake. The cake layers weren't tall enough so I made rice krispie treats in the same cake pans and put a layer beneath the cake.

Rainbow chip cake, with vanilla filling... ice cream cones covered in poured fondant.
