Mini Cakes

I made these cakes for a cousins bridal shower. My G-ma in law and I threw a shower for her only granddaughter. Each one is part of a vanilla cake with raspberry filling, covered in white chocolate and topped with a pink rosette. The cakes took a lot of time to make, but they tasted delicious. You were worth the work Aubrey (and Drew)! Congrats!!!

Chocolate Rose

This is a chocolate rose made out a chocolate fondant like recipe. It was fun to make and how gorgeous would it look on a chocolate cake!

Caroline's 1st Birthday

These are the cupcakes & the mini cake I made for my daughters first birthday. The flowers and ladybugs are handpainted. They took some time, but how cute are they? My future sis-in-law took some great pics of these, so when I get them from her I will post them. The cakes are regular yellow cake with vanilla frosting. The flowers and ladybugs are made out of fondant.

Chocolate Lovers

This is a chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream frosting. Can you tell I was in the mood for chocolate? It was moist and delicious! The strawberries added the extra sweetness to the cake. Mmmm, mmmm, good!

This is the cake I made for my husbands birthday last week. It was a lot of fun to make! Luke Hansen took some amazing pics of it for me. Thanks Luke! (check him out if you need a photographer, he's worth it! plukehansen.blogspot.com)
